The Opportunity As an Afternoon Shift Maintenance Technician, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and supporting high-speed production equipment at a customer site. You’ll work closely with site teams to ensure equipment reliability, troubleshoot faults, and carry out preventative maintenance to minimise downtime. This is a critical role in a high-output environment, where your technical expertise and calm under pressure will help keep operations running smoothly. Key Responsibilities Perform routine and reactive maintenance on electrical and automation systems Diagnose faults and troubleshoot PLC, HMI, and SCADA systems (Siemens, Allen‑Bradley) Respond to breakdowns and minimise production disruption Conduct preventative maintenance and inspections on high-speed equipment Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and fault resolutions Ensure compliance with WHS and Australian Standards Collaborate with site operators, engineers, and other technicians to resolve issues and share knowledge Support continuous improvement by identifying recurring faults and recommending solutions About You Experience in FMCG or high-speed manufacturing environments Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills across PLC/HMI/SCADA systems Familiarity with industrial communications (EtherNet/IP, Modbus, Profibus) Commitment to safety, compliance, and documentation Comfortable working on-site and responding to live production issues This role suits someone who takes pride in keeping things running — not just fixing what’s broken, but preventing issues before they arise.
