Employment Type: Permanent Part TimePosition Classification: Staff SpecialistRequisition ID: REQ Overview Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is seeking an experienced Staff Specialist in Vascular Surgery to join our team at Concord Repatriation General Hospital. The primary purpose of the role is to provide high quality diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Vascular Surgery, and to participate in teaching, research, quality improvement and administrative activities within the Vascular Surgery Department and Hospital as required. The Staff Specialist will ensure a high standard of professional performance and encouragement of an academic environment which supports education, research and professional development. Key Responsibilities Provide diagnostic and consultative specialty services in Vascular Surgery. Participate in teaching and training of staff and students. Engage in research activities and publication. Contribute to quality improvement and administrative tasks within the department. Promote an academic environment supporting education, research and professional development. Qualifications & Requirements Medical practitioner, currently registered or eligible for registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) with recognised qualifications in Vascular Surgery and/or other equivalent specialist recognition as provided for in the NSW Staff Specialists (State) Award. Position/s are currently available. Applicants expecting to be awarded their Fellowship within two months from the beginning of the 2026 Clinical Year on 2 February 2026 may be considered.
