The opportunity We are currently looking for an Underground Mine Ventilation Engineer to join the team at our Duketon operations. Reporting to the UG Mine Superintendent, the UG Mine Ventilation Engineer will be responsible for ventilation planning, monitoring and ventilation regulatory compliance for our evolving underground mining operation. This is a FIFO role, working on an 8 : 6 roster. The main responsibilities of this role include : Responsible for the monitoring and reporting for underground mine primary and secondary ventilation circuits Ventilation surveys – ensure all statutory vent surveys and vent instructions are conducted and regulatory requirements compliant Underground inspections and interacting with underground operators with regards to ventilation installations and usage Liaising with stakeholders in UG and OP, processing plant, environment & safety, surveyors, geology departments with respect to current and future ventilation requirements Strategy - analysis of mining methods and improvement projects for ventilation Planning – ventilation requirements of level extraction plans, level plans, infrastructure design, work instructions Manage dust and air contaminant monitoring, gas testing, dust and diesel particulate monitoring and reporting. Ensure appropriate noise and vibration monitoring occurs when required Projects – Opportunity to conduct or assist in undertaking other mine infrastructure projects as they present Coach and mentor less experienced UG Engineers and other technical staff Conduct drill and blast related works as time permits About you Relevant tertiary qualification as a Mining Engineer Qualifications as Ventilation Officer under the Current WA Health and Safety Act and Regulations Demonstrated experience in underground mine ventilation management and control Mines Rescue and First Aid cert desirable Proficient user of mine planning software such as Deswik, Ventsim Ventilation planning, monitoring and reporting Prior drill & blast experience Capability in drill and blast design, mine production UG time completed desirable but not exclusive What we can offer Career development opportunities Collaborative work environment where your input matters Employee service awards and employee referral incentive Supportive and highly experienced leadership team Wellbeing support for you and your family for personal and professional matters (EAP) Competitive salary with annual incentives As Regis Resources continues its evolution from mid-tier gold miner to a leading Australian gold producer, this is a unique opportunity to join Regis.
