Senior Lecturer

Deliver world‑class innovative medical education and training with the Rural Clinical School of Western Australia at the Bunbury site. Part‑time up to (0.3 FTE) appointments on a fixed term basis for one year. Base salary range : Level C $144 143 $165 809 p.a. (pro‑rata) plus 17 % superannuation. Clinical loading and remote allowances applicable. About the area The Rural Clinical School of Western Australia (RCSWA) is a network of 15 rural and remote sites across the Kimberley, Pilbara, Mid‑West, Goldfields, Great Southern and Southwest regions of Western Australia. It is a collaboration between UWA, The University of Notre Dame Australia Fremantle and Curtin Medical School operating as a unit within the UWA School of Medicine. The RCSWA is committed to providing quality teaching, research, professional development and clinical service in rural and remote settings. About the opportunity Organise and teach RCSWA students, support preceptors and host practitioners and implement learning opportunities through collaboration with local agencies. Engage in research or evaluation to improve rural health and pursue growth in academic areas such as clinical skills or services based on personal interests. Develop local educational programs and rural training pathways in consultation with medical practitioners contributing to both local and statewide RCSWA strategies. Contribute to curriculum development, assessment, marking and provide student mentoring. About you Registered or able to be registered with AHPRA as a Medical Practitioner. Work in the respective RCSWA site and the ability to network with rural practitioners in the region. Demonstrated experience as a preceptor and/or supervisor of medical students and/or junior doctors or registrars. Demonstrated commitment to the principles and practice of Indigenous health in rural and regional areas. Practice medicine in rural WA. A current National Police Clearance Certificate and Working with Children Check will be required by the successful applicant. The successful applicant will reside in or near Bunbury WA.
