The Company Termico Bushfire Assessment Services is part of Termico Group, an independent, Western Australian owned company carrying out a wide variety of specialised home & building services all over Perth. The Termico Group was established in 1996 and services the Perth metropolitan as well as selected regional areas. We have an incredible team with over 100 employees, of which most have been with us for many years. About the Role Bush fire Assessment is evolving into an emerging and valuable industry as a social responsibility in Western Australia. As the local councils have mandated BAL assessments for residential developments within bushfire prone areas, the demand for qualified services is on the rise. Job Description The Bushfire Risk Assessor is responsible for visiting building sites throughout the metro area and conducting measurements, vegetation assessments and taking site photos. The position will establish and maintain working relationships with all internal staff to ensure the BAL reports (Bushfire Assessment Level) are conducted and created to comply with Australian Standard 3959 . Key Responsibilities Drive in a company vehicle to the building sites located all over Perth Attend the client site location and using the proposed site plans, assess the level of risk to the proposed building based on the surrounding vegetation and overall landscape Use a range finder to measure dimensions After the site visit, send all information to the office so a comprehensive bush fire attack report can be issued to the client Required Qualifications Possession of a current unrestricted C Class Western Australian driver's license BPAD Accredited Level 1 Practitioner License (highly desirable but not essential) Relevant experience in similar industries highly desirable Benefits & Work Environment Salary: Range $50k to $70k Full time position Opportunities for overtime Work autonomously in a growing business Huge potential for promotion / personal growth Flexible working hours where possible to support work-life balance How to Apply If you are interested in joining a happy and cohesive team of professionals who are committed to providing terrific customer service and you are willing to learn, then we would like to hear from you.
