Mining Application Engineer

Our globally recognised client is seeking a Mining Applications Engineer to provide technical support, problem-solving and sales support to mining customers across opencut and underground coal mines, coal processing plants and hard rock operations. The role combines customer site visits with office-based work, ensuring high-quality service, technical solutions and sustainable business growth. The position will be based in either the NSW Hunter Valley or QLD Bowen Basin and includes the requirement for some interstate travel. Key Responsibilities Deliver technical support, including lubricant recommendations, change management, root cause analysis, and failure investigations. Conduct site surveys and inspections of fixed and mobile plant, preparing reports and continuous improvement recommendations. Verify subcontractor quality assurance, including mobile plant inspections and lube system maintenance. Monitor product performance using data, such as used oil analysis, equipment logs, and reliability metrics, and develop case studies. Support sales initiatives by applying technical knowledge to identify and develop profitable opportunities. Communicate effectively with customers and internal teams through face-to-face discussions, emails, and formal reports. What we're looking for...
