As a nationwide NDIS provider we deliver person‑centred services including Supported Independent Living (SIL) and tailored disability support. Our approach is led by the heart and grounded in mindfulness self‑care and community wellness. About the Role You will provide one-on-one SIL support including: Assisting with personal care and hygiene Preparing nutritious meals Helping build and maintain routines Encouraging community participation Supporting the development of independent living skills Roster & Availability In Mackay we offer a casual role with flexible shift options across 8 AM to 2 PM Monday to Sunday, sharing a roster with another support worker. Approximately 40 hours per week and alternative weekends. If this does not suit your availability we have other opportunities that may better align with your schedule and location. Locations Melbourne Toowoomba Gold Coast Other regions across Australia Employment Types & Rates Casual: $44.59 per hour plus superannuation Permanent Part‑Time: $80,000 – $95,000 per annum plus superannuation What We’re Looking For Minimum 2 years experience as a Disability Support Worker including SIL experience Proven ability to support participants with high or complex needs Skilled in managing challenging behaviours with a trauma‑informed person‑centred approach Strong communication, emotional resilience and decision‑making skills Commitment to promoting independence, dignity and quality of life Required Certifications NDIS Screening / Yellow Card First Aid and CPR Certificate Driver’s licence Reliable vehicle with comprehensive car insurance Desirable (but not essential) Cert IV in Mental Health or equivalent Maybo or Positive Behaviour Support training Key Attributes Organised and proactive Strong teamwork and communication skills Comfortable using technology Empathetic, patient and committed to participant well‑being Why Join Us At Young Mindz we value empathy, respect and collaboration.
