(Organisation site )Water Planning and Science; South Region; Water Resource Management; Brisbane CityAn exciting opportunity operating from South Region, the suitable applicant will play a key role in assisting and developing innovative, outcomes-focussed management solutions to support efficient and sustainable management of Queensland’s water resources. You will help to deliver an exciting program of activities, working with diverse internal and external stakeholders across a range of disciplines.Assist with the development and delivery of business improvement activity projects to achieve efficiency and uplift to modelling capacity for water resource management in line with Queensland Water Act 2000 requirements.Liaise with technical experts from various disciplines to inform development of water management solutions and policy.Undertake desktop research, data collection, interpretation, and analysis to inform the assessment of a range of water management and policy issues.Assist with consultation with internal and external clients.Assist with preparation of policy papers, briefing notes, Cabinet submissions, Governor -in-Council documentation, and other correspondence as required.Assist in the development of Terms of Reference/s and/or finalisation of the scope for business improvement activities and undertake procurement and related activities.Contribute to a positive team culture by supporting team members and sharing information.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Environmental Science, Natural Resource Management).
