As an Accounts Receivable Officer, your primary responsibility will be managing and monitoring incoming payments and account reconciliations. You'll work closely with the finance team to ensure all transactions are processed accurately, and any discrepancies are promptly resolved. Your role will involve regular reporting and analysis to support the business financial objectives and enhance cash flow management.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and manage accounts receivable activities, ensuring timely collection of outstanding payments.
  • Reconcile accounts and resolve any discrepancies or issues related to payments and credits.
  • Maintain accurate records of all receivable transactions and account details.
  • Prepare and analyze reports on accounts receivable status and overdue accounts.
  • Communicate with clients and internal teams to address payment inquiries and resolve disputes.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of collection strategies and procedures.
  • Support month-end and year-end financial closing processes by providing relevant data and reports.
  • Maintain and update customer account information in the financial system.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in an Accounts Receivable role or Accounts Officer position.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial regulations within Australia.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, MS Dynamics, MYOB) and MS Office (especially Excel).
  • Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a dynamic environment.
