Where you'll be working Location Negotiable. You will be servicing up to 35 rural and remote health services, hospitals and smaller Multipurpose Services (MPSs) across the Western NSW Local Health District for expert care. Western NSW Local Health District is one of the largest Local Health Districts in NSW covering an area of 246,676 square kilometres, similar to the size of Britain. We deliver innovative health services to an estimated resident population of approximately 276,000 people. To apply, please address the following Selection Criteria Registered as a Medical Practitioner with the Medical Board of Australia / Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA). Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Medical Administrators (RACMA) or working towards same. Comprehensive knowledge of and commitment to health system safety, quality, risk management, change management, improvement systems, innovation and best practice. Comprehensive understanding of clinical care and various clinical models of care associated clinical information systems and expertise managing reporting systems. Demonstrated knowledge of contemporary health issues, rural healthcare priorities and reform agendas within the NSW Health system to manage medical workforce, and industrial requirements for medical officers. Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, communication and negotiation skills, especially with senior medical practitioners and clinicians. Demonstrated ability to provide leadership as part of the senior management team, and ability to engage medical staff. Licence to drive in NSW and ability to travel regularly for work purposes.
