We are currently seeking a Senior Control Systems Engineer who will be responsible for process automation design and software development related to Metso Bulk Material Handling (BMH) Engineering for product development and customer project delivery. What you’ll do Responsible for engineering design and development, including preparation of design or development specifications. PLC and advanced process control development, HMI, and SCADA development. Preparation of machine process design architecture and control systems architecture. Develop and maintain Metso standard product portfolio according to the product roadmap and develop specific solutions for our customers. Work as part of a team of Control System Engineers. Provide excellent communication and effective interpersonal skills, interacting with internal/external customers, suppliers, and supporting product development and customer projects. Who you are Bachelor of Engineering or equivalent with a minimum 7 years (preferred 10 years) of experience in Electrical / Electronics / Instrumentation Engineering. Proven analytical and problem‑solving skills. Significant knowledge of industrial process control design, network architecture, and MES/ERP integrations. Strong proficiency in PLC programming, SCADA, and APC systems. PLC development experience on Rockwell/GE platforms. Development and implementation of industrial fieldbus protocols. Configuring and troubleshooting industrial controls systems and instrumentation. Experience with Siemens/Rockwell variable speed drive design and commissioning. Bulk material handling process experience. Factory Acceptance Testing. SQL development for industrial integration. InTouch, Cimplicity, Factory Talk View SCADA development. Designing process automation solutions for OEM equipment. Project management. Functional safety. ABB variable speed drive design and commissioning. Plant historians and databases. Engineers Australia membership (or eligible).
