Apply now to be part of our team About Us Located at Wayville, PAWS Dog Day Care is a family-owned SA Business and one of South Australia’s premier Dog Day Care and Grooming facilities, and we are looking for motivated and energetic Animal Attendants to join our expanding team. Casual roles are available Monday to Friday from 7:00am to 6:30pm; there is no weekend work At PAWS we just love our furry friends, so it is second nature for us to spend our time engaging with the dogs to ensure they are happy, busy, and interacting well with our other clients. There are no cages at PAWS; we pride ourselves on our expansive penned areas where the dogs are free to run around and interact with our other clientele. The Role As an award-winning pet grooming and Dog Day Care facility, we are looking for Animal Attendants to maintain our high standards and positive customer feedback. Your broad range of experience across a wide range of duties will make you a strong candidate for this opportunity. Duties include Frequent cleaning and upkeep of our facility to maintain a high level of hygiene and safety. Supervising groups of dogs and managing their behaviours to maintain overall well being and safety to our clients. Provision of food and water for clients in our care. Building and maintaining rapport with our clients’ owners through feedback and transparency. Creating media content through videos and photos. About You We are looking for someone who would love to become part of a team. You need to be quick on your feet, with the ability to multitask – we must improvise and adapt to whatever our furry clients throw at us on any given day. This is not a "play with the dogs" position – it is picking up poos, mopping up wees, cleaning and disinfecting, picking up more poos, mopping up more wees...... Skills & Experience Any relevant qualifications will be highly regarded. Proven skills as an Animal Attendant. Passion for and experience with dogs, including knowledge of different breeds, behaviours, and body language. Strong communication skills, both with dogs, pet owners and team members. Ability to handle dogs of all sizes and temperaments safely and confidently. Patience and empathy when dealing with dogs, especially those who may be anxious or aggressive. Ability to work independently and efficiently in a fast-paced environment. Valid SA drivers’ licence and transport.
