We are seeking an experienced Senior Automation Engineer to join their innovative team. This high-impact role focuses on leading the integration, programming, and optimisation of complex automated machinery, industrial robotics, and advanced vision systems. Role Purpose As the Senior Automation Engineer, you will be the driving force behind the programming, integration, commissioning, and optimisation of automated machinery, robotic systems, and industrial vision systems. Your expertise will be critical in delivering top-tier, efficient, and tailored solutions to clients. Key Focus Areas Programming Mastery: Develop and implement PLC, HMI, and SCADA software for new machinery. Robotics Integration: Program and integrate industrial robotic systems (experience across major brands required). Vision Systems Expertise: Configure and optimise industrial vision systems for inspection, measurement, and guidance. Commissioning & Testing: Lead in-house and onsite commissioning, including FAT/SAT documentation. Technical Leadership: Mentor junior engineers and liaise directly with clients to define technical requirements. Degree or Trade Qualification in Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Robotics, or a related discipline. 5+ years of hands-on automation engineering experience. Advanced PLC programming proficiency (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Siemens, Beckhoff, Omron). Certifications in robotics, safety, or machine vision are beneficial Strong experience with industrial vision systems. Demonstrated experience with industrial robotics programming and integration.
