Tailored to your aspirations and individual circumstances, your Occupational Therapist will collaborate with you on a variety of therapeutic strategies aimed at facilitating your activities with greater ease and safety. These strategies may involve: Providing you with appropriate assistive tools that enable you to engage in desired and necessary activities. We will ensure that you can effectively utilize the tool to meet your requirements. Suggesting alterations to your surroundings, be it your home or workplace, to enhance your capacity for independent activities or to make it simpler for others to aid you. Creating a profile that outlines your abilities and areas necessitating support, which will be used to formulate a “support plan” for those assisting you. Devising a program geared towards enhancing specific skills or abilities, promoting increased self-reliance. This could include tasks like utilizing public transportation or managing your behavior for improved interpersonal interactions. Collaborating with other professionals such as Speech Pathologists and Physiotherapists to offer comprehensive support tailored to your needs or those of a family member.
