Respect Aged Care’s Alcheringa facility in Swan Hill Victoria, is currently seeking a compassionate and dedicatedFood Services Assistantto join our kitchen team. In this essential role, you will help ensure that our residents receive well-prepared, nutritious meals that meet their individual dietary needs and enhance their daily living experience. Key Responsibilities Assist in thepreparation, portioning, serving, and timely deliveryof meals and refreshments to residents. Ensure all meals are served in accordance with individual dietary requirements and preferences, as outlined by clinical staff and the Food Services Program (FSP). Support theimplementation and ongoing monitoring of the FSP, including temperature checks, recording deliveries, and maintaining food safety standards. Assist inmenu planningand meal presentation to meet the diverse needs of residents. Maintain cleanliness in food preparation, service, and dining areas according to hygiene and safety standards. Wash dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment to support a clean and safe environment. Communicate effectively with residents and staff to ensure satisfaction and identify any food-related concerns. Perform other related tasks as directed and appropriate to your skills and training. Qualifications & Experience Essential: Completion of a recognisedFood Handling Course. A currentNational Police Certificate(or willingness and ability to obtain one). First Aid Desirable: Previous experience inresidential aged care food services. Background inhospitality or catering.
