With Retail Zoo’s brands continuing to expand, we require the services of a reliable and meticulous Financial Accountant. The Management Accountant reports directly to the Financial Planning & Analysis Lead and partners closely with the wider finance team, operations, and senior leadership. As a trusted business partner, this role delivers financial insights, analysis, and reporting to support strategic and operational decision-making across the retail network, including Boost International Franchised Services & Supply Chain. Working alongside store and area managers as well as commercial teams, the Management Accountant ensures accurate performance reporting, drives continuous improvement, and contributes to profitability and growth. Key Responsibilities Prepare and deliver accurate monthly management reports Provide variance analysis with clear commentary on business performance Partner with business units and operations teams to deliver insights and improve financial outcomes Analyse key retail drivers including sales, margins, labour costs, and wastage Ensure accuracy of store and department P&Ls, identifying opportunities for improvement Lead budgeting and forecasting at store and brand level Model the financial impact of promotions, pricing strategies, and new initiatives Support store and area managers with financial insights and guidance Assist with decision-making for new store openings, refurbishments, and closures Drive cost reduction, waste minimisation, and profitability improvement initiatives Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and procedures Contribute to audit requirements and maintain integrity of reporting systems Qualifications The candidate of our dreams will have: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA, CA, or equivalent certification preferred). 6+ years of years of accounting experience, preferably in retail, FMCG, or food services Familiarity with high-volume operations and multi-site management. Strong background in P&L reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and business analysis.
