Production Engineering Manager - General Products The Production Engineering Manager - General Products plays a pivotal role in leading a team focused on process design, development, and deployment of equipment and documentation to support the introduction of new products and services for both internal and external customers. This position is integral to ensuring ARB's globally developed aftermarket products meet the highest standards throughout their lifecycle. As a key leader, you will: Manage and develop a high-performing engineering team , providing coaching, mentoring, and guidance to foster technical excellence and professional growth. Drive process innovation and best practices , ensuring efficient and effective product and process development. Provide technical leadership across multiple projects, balancing strategic oversight with hands‑on involvement in engineering practices. Support current products and services through the later stages of their lifecycle, ensuring quality and performance remain uncompromised. This is a multi‑faceted role combining people management, technical expertise, and operational leadership . You will be responsible for resource allocation, performance reviews, recruitment, and continuous improvement initiatives, while actively contributing to technical execution. About You Bachelor's degree in engineering (preferably in Mechanical, Mechatronic or Manufacturing/Industrial). Preferably registered as a Professional Engineer for the purposes of providing professional engineering services in Victoria. Experience in Production/Manufacturing/Industrial Engineering or Design Engineering in automotive or related product development settings, with at least 10 years of experience. Extensive experience in product and process design in some of fabrication welding, thermoforming, extruding, machining, coating, and assembly. Demonstrated experience with lean manufacturing concepts. Experience in GD&T and drafting to ASME Y14.5-2009 standards. Demonstrated Project Management experience. Proven people‑leading experience managing medium‑size teams of engineering and technical professionals.
