Java / Python Developer We are looking for a talented Java/Python Developer to join our growing engineering team and help build core features for our next-generation digital platform. This role covers far more than payments — you’ll architect and develop scalable microservices, secure APIs, and a wide range of high-impact platform features. Key Responsibilities Design and develop backend systems and microservices using Java and Python Build and optimise core platform features (authentication, user systems, content workflows, notifications, payments, etc.) Implement and maintain secure integrations (including Stripe/PayPal , but not limited to payments) Apply best coding practices , including clean architecture, unit testing, documentation, and code reviews Collaborate closely with front-end developers, QA, designers, and product teams Build scalable APIs supporting high performance and rapid user growth Participate in sprint planning, architecture discussions, and continuous improvement Troubleshoot production issues and contribute to system stability and optimisation Required Skills & Experience 6+ years' experience developing backend applications in Java and/or Python Strong understanding of microservices architecture and distributed systems Solid experience with REST APIs , service-to-service communication, and backend design patterns Knowledge of payment gateway integrations (Stripe/PayPal) Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases Strong appreciation for good coding practices , including: clean, maintainable code design patterns proper documentation automated testing version control discipline Ability to work well in a collaborative team environment Strong problem-solving and debugging skills Nice to Have Experience in high-scale environments Familiarity with Docker/Kubernetes Cloud infrastructure experience (AWS preferred) CI/CD pipeline experience (GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab, etc.) Security best practices for backend and microservice environments What We Offer Ability to work on a platform with exciting growth potential A supportive, collaborative team that values quality and innovation we Reward Excellence #J-18808-Ljbffr
