Drape Rigger

Location: Factory Melbourne inner West / CBD location Employment Type: Full-Time Permanent Hours: 9:00am – 5:00pm (with occasional night work for event bump-ins/outs) Award: Amusement Award (paid above award rates) About The Role We are seeking a reliable, hands‑on Drape Rigger / Event Technician to join a leading event production company. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys physical work, problem‑solving, and being part of exciting event setups across major events. The successful candidate will be responsible for rigging drapes, assisting with event bump‑ins and bump‑outs, and supporting the production team with general technical and staging requirements. Key Responsibilities Rigging and installing drapes to required specifications. Assisting with event bump‑in and bump‑out operations. Operating lifts (additional rate applies). Working with the production team to set up staging, backdrops, and event elements. Ensuring all work is performed safely and efficiently. Maintaining equipment and reporting any defects. Following schedules and completing tasks within deadlines. What We’re Looking For Experience in rigging, drape installation, staging, or event production (preferred but not essential). Comfortable with physical labour and working at heights. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Reliability, professionalism, and good communication skills. Willingness to work occasional nights for event operations (a day off is provided afterward). Benefits Above‑award pay rates.
