Senior Platform Engineer Peoplebank is seeking a Senior Platform Engineer with strong cloud engineering fundamentals, hands‑on AWS experience, and the ability to build resilient, scalable systems. Key Responsibilities Design, build and maintain AWS infrastructure for high‑scale customer‑facing systems. Drive operational resilience across the platform, ensuring reliability and fault tolerance. Implement and optimize CI/CD pipelines, primarily using GitHub Actions. Build and enhance observability frameworks, including metrics, logs, monitoring and alerting. Support application teams with diagnostics, troubleshooting and performance analysis. Contribute to containerisation and orchestration using ECS and Docker. Collaborate closely with engineering squads to uplift automation, scalability, and deployment maturity. Work in a fast‑paced environment transitioning from pilot to full‑scale rollout. Engage in scenario‑based problem solving and proposing engineering‑led solutions. Core Skills & Experience 3+ years in Platform Engineering or Cloud Engineering (or equivalent expertise). Strong experience with AWS, including ECS, Lambda, and Infrastructure‑as‑Code. Practical experience with Docker and containerised workloads. Proficiency with CI/CD pipelines, ideally GitHub Actions. Solid understanding of observability, monitoring and metrics – tools include Obstack and Splunk. Demonstrated ability in troubleshooting, diagnosing complex system behaviours, and handling production issues. Strong engineering fundamentals and ability to articulate problem‑solving approaches. Additional Information Experience with AI platforms is highly valued but not mandatory. Curiosity, problem‑solving, and a willingness to learn new technologies matter more.
