About the role Ashurst Advance eDiscovery and Digital Services provides dynamic solutions focused on people, process and technology. Our technologists combine market‑leading data interrogation and review platforms with AI capabilities to support clients and internal practice groups. We adopt a “follow‑the‑sun” approach to resourcing, ensuring matters are supported across Australian and UK offices. We are looking to hire an eDiscovery Manager in Australia. Reporting to one of our eDiscovery Senior Managers, you will work as part of a national team providing cutting‑edge eDiscovery services. This role demands a proactive, solutions‑oriented individual with a strong background in eDiscovery, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts to a broad range of stakeholders. The ideal candidate will manage multiple priorities, drive innovation, and uphold the highest standards of data security and quality assurance. Responsibilities Provide leading eDiscovery services to clients and internal practice groups across Australia and the UK. Manage and execute multiple eDiscovery projects, ensuring quality, efficiency and data security. Deliver innovative solutions and oversee the adoption of advanced eDiscovery tools and AI‑driven workflows. Communicate technical concepts and project status to stakeholders at all levels. Lead, coach and develop junior team members. Work within a fast‑paced, solutions‑focused environment and meet strict deadlines. Adapt to additional workload outside core hours and interstate travel when required. Qualifications Minimum of 8 years eDiscovery experience in a professional services firm, law firm or government agency. Proven ability to troubleshoot technical and non‑technical issues and implement repeatable solutions. Excellent understanding of the legal framework of eDiscovery, including exchange protocols and best practices across the full EDRM model. Proven record in using advanced eDiscovery tools such as GenAI and Continuous Active Learning (CAL) workflows, concept clustering, and search term analysis. Experience overseeing and supporting multiple eDiscovery matters, managing priorities and identifying efficient workflows. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced, solutions‑focused environment with strict deadlines. Experience leading teams and coaching junior colleagues. Proficiency with multiple platforms such as Nuix Discover, Relativity and Reveal. Understanding of eDiscovery workflow practices across different jurisdictions is favourable. Flexibility and willingness to undertake additional work outside core hours and/or interstate travel when required. Tertiary qualifications in Law, Computer Science, Commerce or software engineering.
