DeeKay Healthcare Services is seeking a passionate and committed Morning Shift Assistant in Nursing to join our team in Community nursing , QLD. This is a casual position, offering flexible work arrangements to suit your lifestyle. As an Assistant in Nursing, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care and support to our elderly and disabled clients, helping them maintain their independence and quality of life. Note you will be driving from client to client providing services. What you'll be doing but not limited to Assisting clients with daily living activities such as personal care, mobility, and meal preparation Monitoring clients' health and wellbeing, and reporting any changes or concerns to the nursing team Providing emotional support and companionship to clients, engaging them in social activities and outings Maintaining accurate records and documentation related to client care Adhering to all relevant health, safety, and quality standards Collaborating with the broader healthcare team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients What we're looking for Certificate III in Individual Support Certificate III in Aged Care, Home and Community Care or Health Services Assistance A student in the second or third year of Bachelor of Nursing degree at an Australian university or accredited higher education provider Experience working in the aged care or disability support sector, preferably in a similar role Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and their families Compassionate and patient‑centric approach to care, with a genuine desire to make a positive difference in people's lives Strong problem‑solving and critical thinking skills to handle a variety of situations Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team Current First Aid and CPR certification Satisfactory National Police Check Medication management Competency What we offer Competitive hourly rates and access to employee benefits Ongoing training and professional development opportunities Flexible work arrangements to support work‑life balance A collaborative and caring team environment Opportunities for career advancement within the organisation About us DeeKay Healthcare Services is a leading provider of aged and disability support services in the Coomera region.
