The Role
As our next Heavy Diesel Fitter to proudly represent our Project Support Team on a 14/7 roster, your role will be performing major component and reliability shutdowns on a fleet of electric drive MT4400 haul trucks. This includes component replacement, system overhauls and a range of reliability driven initiatives. In this role, you will: Work a 14/7 Roster – 12-hour shifts Completing general maintenance, and component change outs to a high standard Source technical information from the relevant available reference manuals, technical bulletins, OEM and computer base systems Setting and maintaining high housekeeping standards Carrying out pre and post shut checks Learn more about our Asset Services Team here - Proven Asset Services - Thiess About You Trade qualification as Heavy Duty Diesel Fitter or equivalent Minimum of 2 years post trade experience in mining or Heavy Earth Moving induction Experience in general maintenance, breakdowns, component change outs and servicing of CAT, Komatsu and Liebherr Experience in vehicle air conditioning systems (desirable) HR drivers licence (desirable) Proven compliance and commitment to health and safety at all times What Thiess Can Do For You Permanent full-time positions Full camp facilities provided – including a permanent room Thiess’ commitment to training & development Salary sacrifice options – Flights & novated leasing Range of corporate discounts including health insurance (Medibank), travel & retail products.
