Threat Intelligence Analyst – Proofpoint Join Proofpoint as a Threat Intelligence Analyst in our global team focused on protecting organizations worldwide. The Role The Threat Intelligence Analyst leverages Proofpoint data and telemetry to deliver cyber threat intelligence reporting to customers via email, live briefings and presentations. You will conduct threat analysis, apply analytics, field inquiries, engage internal SMEs and drive improvements to our intelligence framework. Approximately 70 % core analysis and production; 30 % enablement supporting sales with intelligence‑backed narratives, demos, and engagement. This hybrid role sits at the intersection of intelligence and go‑to‑market, ideal for someone who wants to grow into a leadership or evangelist position. Your Day-to-Day Assess and analyze a customer’s security environment and threats, highlight unusual or interesting findings, and recommend tactical and strategic improvements through email and live presentations. Conduct pre‑planned investigations, on‑demand inquiries, and unstructured data analysis while using soft skills to advocate, track changes, and advance customer security posture. Collaborate with Sales on pre‑sales calls and RFP responses, providing subject‑matter expertise. Develop and present use‑case driven briefings to prospective clients covering threat landscape, sector risks, and adversary trends. Create and maintain sales enablement materials such as one‑pagers, case studies, sample reports and FAQs. Partner with customer account teams to ensure smooth onboarding and highlight service value during renewals. Act as a bridge between intelligence operations and GTM teams, ensuring customer feedback informs intelligence priorities. What You Bring to the Team 5 + years in the cybersecurity space, with at least 2 years delivering customer‑facing presentations. Experience in consulting, advisory, or managed services with a customer‑success focus. Domain knowledge in cyber security with authority on threat landscape, email‑based threats, exploits, threat actors, and incident analysis. Ability to identify potential concerns proactively, recommend mitigations, and initiate further research. Knowledge of networking, internet technologies, and web servers. Strong documentation skills to identify and improve processes. Highly organized, capable of leading through influence and coordination with SMEs, account teams, and stakeholders. Excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills. Passion for working closely with customers, maintaining close communication with multiple large organizations. Customer‑facing presentation experience. Python knowledge a plus, Microsoft Office 365 expertise. Quick learner of new technologies, systems, and subjects.
