Location: 63 Prestige Parade, Wangara WA 6065 Position Carpenter – Full-Time. Salary: $76,000 – $81,000 + Superannuation About the Role As a Carpenter with Ozwest Group, you will play a key role in fabricating, assembling, and installing timber, aluminium or steel components, custom cabinetry, cladding, staircases, handrails, and other architectural elements for residential and commercial projects. You will work with our fabrication team and onsite installers to ensure high-quality finishes, compliance with specifications, and safe, efficient project delivery. Key Responsibilities Read and interpret technical drawings, specifications and job orders for fabrication and installation of architectural components (timber/aluminium cladding, staircases, handrails, balustrades, cabinetry, etc.). Fabricate and assemble components in workshop or onsite according to measurement and finish requirements. Install cabinetry, shower screens, balustrades, staircases and other fixtures in residential or commercial buildings, ensuring accurate alignment and secure fitting. Use appropriate carpentry, metal‑work and installation tools safely and proficiently. Ensure all installations comply with Australian building codes, safety standards and company quality requirements. Coordinate with project supervisors and other trades to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion. Maintain a clean, safe, and organised workspace, including tools and materials storage. Conduct routine inspections on installed components to verify quality, safety, and compliance. Report any issues, defects or deviations from plans promptly and suggest corrective actions. Skills & Experience Trade qualification in Carpentry (e.g., Certificate III in Carpentry) or equivalent experience in carpentry/installation trade. Minimum 3 years' experience as a Carpenter in a commercial or fabrication‑installation environment. Strong ability to read technical drawings, measure accurately and work to tight tolerances. Experience working with timber, aluminium or steel components, cabinetry, cladding, stairs, balustrades, or similar architectural elements. Proficiency with carpentry and metal‑working tools, safe working practices and standard installation techniques. Good communication, problem‑solving, and teamwork skills. Attention to detail and commitment to high-quality workmanship and compliance with building and safety standards.
