This role offers a perfect blend of career advancement:Opportunity to join a leading player in the Australian agricultural sectorCompetitive remuneration $140,000 to $150,000Positive ‘can-do’ culture focused on driving successJoin a leading player in Australia’s agricultural sector as In-House Legal Counsel situated in the heart of Brisbane CBD.Reporting and working closely alongside the Senior Legal Counsel and General Counsel, this role will sit within a legal team of experienced professionals who oversee a diverse portfolio of transactions, ranging from private M&A to rural property and export contract negotiation.Key responsibilities include:Assisting in conducting private M&A transactions including drafting NDAs, conducting due diligence, drafting term sheets and executing deals;Negotiating water rights agreements and rural property transactions;Managing export contract negotiations;Collaborating closely with the legal team and other division of the business to ensure deals align with the company’s risk appetite.To be successful, you will have:4+ years PAE;Broad corporate commercial and contract experience which could be across, M&A, due diligence, water rights negotiation, or property law;While experience in the agricultural sector is preferred, applicants from other legal backgrounds are also welcomed to apply;You may be working at a national firm in private practice or already in-house wanting to take that next step;Strong commercial acumen and the ability to work closely with an organisation itself;Current eligibility to practice law in Australia, particularly in Queensland.APPLY NOW and achieve your in-house goalsAt Law Staff, we invite all lawyers to join us either for a call, video or in person at in a lounge-like atmosphere for a relaxed and confidential discussion over coffee or tea.
