Overview Join East Metropolitan Health Service as a Registered Midwife and become part of a team that provides women‑centred care within the scope of practice for a registered Midwife. You will serve in one of our inclusive hospitals in the East Metropolitan region, delivering high‑standard maternity care while embracing community‑focused collaboration. Responsibilities Provide antenatal counselling, assessment and education. Deliver intrapartum care and support women during birth. Offer post‑natal support, assessment and education. Provide community and ancillary services for women and families. Participate in the well‑established Midwifery Group Practice, including the award‑winning Boodjari Yorgas service that supports Aboriginal maternal health and wellbeing. Seek ongoing professional development and potential promotional roles within inpatient and outpatient settings. Qualifications Registered Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or eligible to apply. Australian citizenship or permanent residency is essential for permanent positions. Documentation of entitlement to live and work in Australia for the duration of a fixed‑term contract.
