Store Manager - Audio Visual Hire, Sales, Production Are you passionate about pro audio, lighting, and vision equipment? Do you thrive in a fast-paced environment? BJ’s Sound & Lighting is looking for a positive and motivated store manager to join our small team at our Gold Coast store. If you’re someone who enjoys engaging with customers both in-store and on-site, has a strong understanding of pro audio, DJ equipment, and entertainment tech, and is ready to jump into a hands‑on role, we’d love to hear from you What You’ll Be Doing: Team Management: Lead and manage our small Gold Coast team. Warehouse/Store Management: Oversee the store’s organization, cleanliness, and general operations. Customer Interaction: Demonstrating gear, answering calls/emails, and providing expert advice. Sales & Support: Quoting items for hire or purchase, handling point‑of‑sale transactions, and assisting with customer inquiries. Event Support: Setting up and operating AV equipment at client events, delivering, packing up, and picking up gear. Maintenance & Logistics: Maintaining hire equipment, managing stock, warehouse prep, supporting service requests and repairs. Teamwork & Independence: Collaborating with colleagues and working independently in a fast‑moving environment. What We’re Looking For: Customer‑Focused: Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) and a passion for providing top‑notch service. Pro Tech Knowledge: Experience with professional audio, DJ gear, lighting, and video equipment is essential. Physical & Practical: Expected to load/unload gear and handle some heavy lifting – staying fit is important. Driver’s License: Manual driver’s license (preferably open) and clean driving record. Experience: Minimum 2 years management experience leading a small team; previous retail or hire experience is a plus. Flexible Employment Options: Position Type: Full‑time. Location: Gold Coast branch – 2/3 United Road, Ashmore, QLD, 4214. Work Schedule: Availability including Saturdays and occasional after‑hours. Peak Season: Limited time off from October to January.
