Motorcycle Service Parts Advisor – Trainees Welcome Melbourne's fastest growing Honda and Indian Motorcycle Dealership in the heart of Fitzroy North's rich and diverse cafe culture, chic bars and creative boutiques, just a short tram ride from Melbourne CBD, offers a unique opportunity for a Full-time (5 days p/wk) Motorcycle Service/Parts Advisor (Trainees welcome) to join their bustling Service Department. Fitzroy Motorcycles is a longstanding, small family-owned and operated retail business for brands such as Honda, Indian, Zero and Italjet and servicing all makes and models. Position Description Responsible for booking in customer vehicles that are scheduled for maintenance, repairs or performance up‑grades, keeping the customer informed and updated on the progress of their vehicle whilst ensuring completed service vehicles are picked up in a timely manner. Reporting to the Business Owner or Dealership Manager, this role is an important position within the team. The Service Parts Advisor is relied upon to provide an efficient and supportive role and will require autonomy and flexibility in their approach to work. Specific Duties Book in customer services, communicate effectively with customers on their service and maintenance needs, upsell and relay service/parts bill to customers. Over-the-counter parts sales. Assist with allocating jobs to technicians. Co‑ordinate customer builds, performance upgrades. Source parts required for service and repairs for workshop technicians at the counter and over the phone. Assist with the company's rolling stock takes. Ensure the parts room and service desk is kept tidy, and all parts are allocated in the appropriate bins and on the appropriate shelves, with original parts numbers. Consult the workshop planner and pick parts for the following day's parts requirements. Update the workshop manager with expected part delivery timeframes. Work collaboratively with workshop staff and provide them support to ensure they have all the necessary parts and stock for scheduled and emergency repairs. Always ensures a tidy and organised work area for easy part retrieval. Complete warranty and recall claims. For trainees – full training provided. Opening Hours Mon - Fri - 8.30am to 5.30pm (Applicant to negotiate a week day off in lieu of Sat)Sat 9 am - 3.30pm.Closed Public Holidays Requirements The successful candidate MUST be an Australian Citizen or hold PR. No Visas. Experience in Automotive Parts or Service. Victorian Police Check. Driver's Licence and Motorcycle (preferred). A passion for motorcycles and scooters that matches ours.
