Casual Environmental Field Officer / Bush Regenerators Casual environmental field officer / Bush Regenerator roles available for Immediate Start Ausecology, an Australian-owned organisation and part of the Niche Group, is looking for passionate and experienced casual Environmental Field Officers to join our dynamic team. Ausecology is a specialist in delivering environmental solutions across projects of all scales and complexities. Our team of 55 skilled professionals in Queensland, including ecologists, botanists, rehabilitation specialists and scientists, collaborate to deliver exceptional results. As part of the Niche Group, a collective of 150 environmental experts across Australia, we offer an unparalleled depth of expertise and resources to tackle even the most challenging projects. We have multiple casual roles available with up to 38 hours a week across the greater Brisbane & South East Qld regions. There may also be the opportunity to participate in projects further afield in Central Qld, with travel, accommodation, and food provided at our expense. There are opportunities for learning and developing skills such as chainsaw use, 4WD, trailers, and ecological burn-related activities. Role and Key Responsibilities Assist in the execution of ecological restoration projects Follow field manual protocols, quality assurance and safety procedures Participate in training activities Complete and submit all HSE forms as they pertain to your project work Skills and experience 1+ years of in-field bush regeneration, natural area technician, land conservation experience Plant identification skills – native and exotic across a range of ecosystem types Current manual driver's licence The following skills would be highly regarded Conservation and Land / Ecosystem Management (Natural Area Restoration) qualification or similar area or practical in-field experience Large scale planting experience ACDC Licence Chemical application for weed control Tool maintenance Chainsaw cross-cut and felling 4WD and trailer experience Ecological burn experience First & CPR certificate Remote area (rural) work We will offer you A competitive hourly rate that reflects capability and experience Plus super with annual pay reviews and transparent pay levels Flexible and diverse work environment Skills and qualification development Paid social events, including a full-day end-of-year party, a highlight of the social calendar Safety-conscious company (ISO accredited in Safety, Quality and Environment) Career advancement and training opportunities / support Plus other financial and non-financial benefits Learn more about us at or For a confidential discussion about the role, email—callback.
