Chandler Macleod is recruiting on behalf of our client for a proactive and engaging Community Engagement Officer to join their team in Darwin on a 6-month contract, with the possibility of extension. This role is perfect for someone passionate about community involvement and experienced in managing events, forums, or consultation processes. It’s a fantastic opportunity to contribute to meaningful projects and support community participation initiatives. Key Responsibilities Develop and deliver engaging presentations in both face-to-face and virtual settings, tailored to various stakeholder groups. Communicate clearly and professionally, ensuring messages resonate with diverse audiences. Support community forums, expos, and local engagement activities—including Mobile Service Centre events. Build and maintain strong relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders. Assist in planning and coordinating engagement activities, tracking their effectiveness through data analysis and feedback. Contribute to the development and implementation of targeted engagement strategies aligned with broader organisational goals. Support the organisation of stakeholder meetings, webinars, conferences, and community events. Help ensure engagement strategies respond proactively to community needs and trends. About You Proven experience in community engagement, stakeholder liaison, or event coordination—preferably within government or similar environments. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to tailor messages both verbally and in writing. Skilled at delivering engaging presentations and facilitating discussions. Strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan and execute multiple engagement activities. Ability to build rapport with a diverse range of internal and external partners. A collaborative team player who demonstrates professionalism under pressure. Passionate about community involvement and making a positive difference.
