Position Overview ANC is seeking a dedicated and highly motivated Transport Allocator / Fleet Scheduler to join our team in Mile End South Australia and play a critical role in supporting and inspiring our Delivery Professionals (drivers) by optimally allocating transport resources to ensure their day-to-day success of delivering our customer promise. This is a hands‑on position that involves close collaboration with Delivery Professionals as well as cross‑functional teams to create efficient and safe delivery experiences. This position requires flexibility as it includes working a rotating roster with weekend shifts. As a key member of our team you’ll help us fulfill our promise of delivering excellent outcomes for both our clients and their customers. What you'll be doing Allocation & Scheduling: Manage the daily schedule of deliveries and vehicle requirements according to volume and requirements Collaboration: Work closely with Delivery Professionals and other cross-functional teams to ensure the smooth execution of daily delivery operations. Problem‑Solving: Handle operational issues on the day of delivery ensuring timely resolution of any disruptions or challenges. Customer Focus: Support the customer experience by ensuring that deliveries meet or exceed expectations. Compliance & Safety: Ensure that all allocations adhere to the principles of the Chain of Responsibility (COR) and safety standards. Process Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs and enhance the customer experience. Documentation & Reporting: Maintain accurate records of delivery schedules and any relevant operational metrics. What are we looking for Experience: 3 years of industry experience in transport or logistics with strong familiarity with Transport Management Systems (TMS). Customer‑Centric Attitude: A proactive can‑do mindset with a strong focus on delivering exceptional customer service. Team & Independent Work: Ability to work autonomously and collaborate effectively within a team environment. Communication Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships with internal teams and external stakeholders. Multitasking Ability: Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and conflicting priorities effectively. Problem‑Solving: Ability to resolve issues promptly ensuring minimal disruption to operations and customer satisfaction. Knowledge of Local & Interstate Logistics: A good understanding of local and interstate capital cities is an advantage.
