VR Systems Tech Support & Integration Engineer Team Creative is a leading immersive research and development company specialising in AI, VR/AR/XR experiences, simulations, and 3D interactive storytelling. We collaborate with universities, training organisations, and forward‑thinking enterprises to deliver cutting‑edge VR and AI products that transform processes and businesses. Position Overview We are seeking a talented VR Systems Tech Support & Integration Engineer to join our creative technology team. The right candidate will have experience across IT systems, AV hardware, and ideally home automation platforms such as Home Assistant or CBus. Knowledge of VR development is an advantage. Contract Initially project‑based, with options for continued work. Must be available for work from around mid‑January 2026 and be local in Melbourne, Sydney or Canberra. Primary Objectives Client support and liaison, with limited one‑ or two‑day travel. Tech support for immersive hardware/software, remotely and on‑site. Document systems, establish support continuity, and implement tech plans as required. Core Skills Required Unity‑based content management (not development‑heavy, but familiarity with VR and immersive systems). Understanding of projection systems (FlyElise, warping, Nvidia surround). Strong knowledge of VR hardware (HTC Vive setup, SteamVR config). Network troubleshooting and device mapping. Windows‑based AV systems administration (local users, group policy, file triggers). Documentation and diagnostic logging. (Optional but useful) Python or scripting. Experience in VR and immersive tech settings preferred. Responsibilities and Key Duties Tech support for clients. Support and stabilise tech systems as required. Verify and document issues and support items. Audit and document client hardware and software components. Maintain or transition existing systems. Configure and troubleshoot. \ of existing systems. Interface with clients and on‑site operations team. Support recovery of existing systems as or if required. Assist with upgrades, tech migration. Ideal Skills Home automation / smart system configuration (Home Assistant or equivalent). AV routing and projection system understanding. VR systems experience (HTC Vive, SteamVR, Unity deployment). Calm, practical proactive problem‑solving mindset. Bonus: Unity or Unreal familiarity. Mindset This person should be as comfortable fixing HDMI adapters and debugging firewall settings as they are thinking about how 40 kids experience an immersive show or VR experience.
