About the role We're seeking a proactive and organised Rostering Officer to join our team for a 3-month parental leave cover (with the possibility of extension). We are looking for someone who is available to commence as soon as possible. This is a full-time role Monday to Friday helping to ensure consistent high-quality support for people with disability across Somerville's services. You’ll be part of a supportive rostering team working together to : Coordinate staffing coverage across multiple sites and regions Manage planned and unplanned shift vacancies including last-minute absences Maintain accurate compliant rosters that support continuity of care Liaise with managers and staff to problem-solve and keep services running smoothly This is a great opportunity for someone who thrives under pressure, communicates clearly and enjoys solving complex staffing puzzles - all while working alongside a collaborative experienced team. What you'll bring Experience coordinating rosters or shift coverage in a busy 24 / 7 environment Ability to interpret and apply Awards / Enterprise Agreements Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Calm solutions-focused approach when responding to urgent staffing needs Confident communication and interpersonal skills Competence with rostering systems and Microsoft 365 Current (or ability to obtain) Ochre Card Criminal History Check, NDIS Worker Screening NT Drivers Licence and influenza vaccination Please refer to the full position description for a complete list of essential and desirable criteria.
