Senior Environmental Officer - Noise Join the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation to help manage environmental noise and create sustainable solutions for WA’s future. This role is part of a pool of Senior Environmental Officers focused on environmental acoustics in Western Australia. The successful candidate will play a key role in advising on environmental noise management, influencing policy, and supporting projects that ensure compliance with the Environmental Protection (Noise) Regulations 1997 and the Environmental Protection Act 1986. Key Responsibilities Provide specialist advice on environmental noise management Influence policy and contribute to evidence‑based policy at State and National levels Collaborate with local governments, industry and community stakeholders to ensure compliance Lead training and capability building to strengthen environmental standards Drive innovation in noise management and environmental protection Qualifications Hold a Bachelor of Science or Engineering or an approved equivalent qualification (mandatory) Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills Experience in stakeholder engagement Benefits & Working Conditions Flexible work arrangements including remote options and adaptable schedules Supportive, collaborative culture where ideas matter Opportunities for professional growth and development Employment Details Seniority level: Associate Employment type: Full‑time Job function: Research, Science and Analyst Industries: Government Administration, Environmental Services, Environmental Quality Programs Salary Base pay range: A$129,211.00 / yr – A$142,460.00 / yr (as provided by the Department of Water and Environmental Regulation).
