The role of Health Promotion Officer at GEO Healthcare is to promote men’s health in accordance with legislation and with particular reference to primary care. The primary role of the health promotion officer is to deliver health promotion services to patients using a range of individual, social and environmental interventions in line with GEO’s strategic documents. The role requires the incumbent to perform all duties in accordance with the GEO Healthcare Values. Demonstrated experience in delivering health promotion programs or projects including reporting and evaluation. Demonstrates evidence-based practice with an understanding of the social model of health. Demonstrated ability to engage groups of people in meaningful health education. The ideal candidate will have: Essential: Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Strong organisational and attention to detail skills. Ability to work within teams, collaboratively across teams and automonomously. Strong computer and information technology skills. Commitment to ongoing professional development and education. Other Requirements of the role: Valid and current full Australian driver's license. Satisfactory completion of a National Criminal History Check. Ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Working outside of ordinary business hours may be required.
