Job Type: Permanent position | Full time position Job Description Mechanical Engineer/Quality Control for Nepean Weldlok (NSW), Nepean Prok (Mackay QLD), and Nepean Longwall (Paget Mackay). The Right Person will: Preparing Manufacturers Data reports (MDRs) Analyzing the designs of handrails, gratings and treads as per AS1657 Inspection of protective coatings: handrails and gratings as per AS4680 Reviewing the procedures, drawings, material certification and other order‑related documentation to ensure technical compliance in accordance with the Australian standards and specifications. Working on 3.1/3.2 material certification, NDE procedure and QA documents. Working in accordance with quality system 9001:2016; inspecting welded (MIG) joints in handrail stanchions as per AS1554. Managing office records on the quality‑system software. Liaising with clients and sub‑contractors. Qualification and Experience Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent. More than 5 years of experience in quality control within the manufacturing or engineering industry. Profound expertise in a diverse range of mechanical processes. Proficiency in quality management systems, statistical analysis, and quality assurance methodologies. Excellent problem‑solving skills with meticulous attention to detail. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with cross‑functional teams and present findings/recommendations. Proficient in CAD software, preferably AutoCAD and Inventor. Commitment to high health, safety, and environmental workplace standards. Commitment to achieving NEPEAN’s project plan and business objectives. Adaptability and flexibility with a work personality that strongly aligns with NEPEAN’s DNA. Ability to work effectively in a team. Strong work ethics.
