Senior Accountant – Full‑time We are looking for a senior accountant to join Charter Hall, a leading real‑estate investment company. This role is responsible for financial reporting, audit support, tax functions and unit‑pricing for our fund portfolio. Responsibilities Preparation of monthly management accounts, reconciliation and presentation to stakeholders. Assist half‑yearly audit and final consolidation, including cashflow statements and audit queries. Prepare audit and board reporting papers, monthly BAS/GST returns and tax calculations. Set up new properties, liaise with transaction and accounting teams. Prepare CGT calculations, annual income tax returns and liaise with external advisers. Maintain financial data in Yardi General Ledger and ensure accurate GL information. Prepare consolidation and operating earnings calculations. Unit pricing: daily unit price calculations, work with managers, investor reporting, fund data for research houses. Support treasury, cash‑flow forecasting and trust invoicing. Lead ad hoc projects, continuously improve processes and collaborate with stakeholders. Key Outcomes Master unit‑pricing procedures and deliver accurate month‑end processes. Own funds under responsibility, serving as main point of contact. Understand impact of transactions across tax, treasury, audit. Work autonomously, drive self‑review and improvement. Challenges Daily unit pricing accuracy and timely delivery. Meet monthly deadlines, strong communication and stakeholder management. Fast‑paced, continuous improvement environment. Your Key Relationships Internal: Fund Managers, Investment Analysts, Property Accountants, Group Finance, Transaction Team, Tax Team, Registry, Investor Relations. External: Auditors, external tax advisers, joint venture partners, ATO, investors. Behavioural Requirements Alignment with company values. Detail oriented and proactive problem‑solving. Commercial mindset and strong interpersonal skills. Can‑do attitude, prioritisation and deliver on deadlines. Willingness to learn, initiative and follow through. Technical Requirements Degree qualification. CA/CPA qualification. 3‑4 years relevant experience, accounting systems and Excel. Experience with Yardi GL system an advantage.
