The Opportunity We’re looking for a Project Supervisor to oversee and deliver a series of structural mechanical and civil construction projects across both surface and underground mining environments. This is a hands‑on leadership role ideal for someone who understands the day‑to‑day realities of site work and can take responsibility for safe on‑time and on‑budget project delivery. Based locally in Mt Isa is preferred but FIFO will be considered for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage projects from planning through to completion Maintain project reporting including progress updates cost tracking and risk identification Schedule work activities and manage daily operations on site Supervise and coordinate teams of tradespeople and subcontractors Build and maintain strong client relationships acting as a key point of contact throughout the project lifecycle. Liaise with clients suppliers and internal teams to meet project deliverables Drive a culture of safety ensuring all team members adhere to safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment. Provide regular reports on project progress risks and opportunities to the Branch Manager and other key stakeholders. Contribute to the growth and strategic direction of MCA Engineering through effective project leadership. About You Ability to understand and appreciate both the technical implications of a project as well as managing contractual requirements effectively. You will have a trade or engineering qualification supported by management or leadership background with a minimum of 2 years experience in a Project Supervisor role. Proven ability to run construction or maintenance projects Strong planning and scheduling skills Confident with report writing and documentation Excellent communication and leadership skills Commitment to safety and fostering a positive team culture Ability to work independently and solve problems on the ground Experience in underground mining or heavy industry preferred Current driver’s licence and construction white card Mt Isa locals highly encouraged to apply FIFO is also considered Ability to travel as needed with flexibility to work across Australia.
