As Senior Manager, Enterprise Applications, you will provide leadership, strategic direction, and technical expertise for enterprise application services. You will manage 3 direct reports covering a team of approximately 25 specialists, oversee large-scale, business-critical applications, and drive integration across VU’s technology landscape. Responsibilities Provide strategic leadership and management of the Enterprise Applications team. Oversee maintenance, support, and agile delivery of applications to meet SLAs. Lead integration functions across application and infrastructure landscapes. Develop business cases and cost‑benefit analyses for IT initiatives. Manage strategic vendor relationships in line with procurement policies. Drive automation, optimisation, and rationalisation to reduce technical debt. Create and execute operational plans aligned with VU’s Digital Master Plan. Foster strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external vendors. Ensure compliance with OH&S principles and University policies. About the Team The Digital and Campus Services (DCS) group delivers high‑quality customer engagement with a service excellence and innovation mindset. Within DCS, the Enabling Technology team modernises technology platforms and infrastructure to support VU’s strategic goals and enhance the customer experience. Join a collaborative team shaping VU’s technology future. About You Extensive leadership experience in enterprise application services within large, complex environments. Strong strategic and customer focus – proved ability to build Centres of Excellence or shared services. Expertise in agile delivery and ITIL‑based practices, with excellent communication and negotiation skills. Postgraduate qualification in IT management or a related field (desirable).
