Specialty Probiotics Australia – Ormeau QLD **** Due to Christmas holidays, we wont be recruiting until the new year**** The GMP Cleaning Operator is responsible for maintaining cleanliness and sanitation in production areas, ensuring compliance with GMP, company policies, and regulatory standards. This role is crucial in contamination control and maintaining a safe, high-quality manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Cleaning & Sanitation Perform routine and deep cleaning of production equipment and work surfaces. Ensure cleaning tasks follow SOPs and GMP guidelines. Use approved cleaning agents and disinfectants. Follow aseptic techniques and cleanroom protocols. Documentation & Compliance Accurately complete cleaning records and logbooks. Ensure compliance with GMP and SOPs. Report deviations or contamination risks. Properly handle, store, and dispose of cleaning chemicals. Operate and maintain cleaning equipment safely. Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) Adhere to workplace health and safety regulations. Use required PPE and follow safety protocols. Report hazards or unsafe conditions. Contribute to improving cleaning SOPs. Participate in internal audits and training. Qualifications Experience in a GMP-regulated cleaning environment. Understanding of GMP, SOPs, and cleaning validation. Attention to detail and ability to follow procedures. Ability to work independently and in a team. Basic literacy and numeracy skills. Physically fit for manual cleaning tasks. Experience in a cleanroom or sterile environment. Knowledge of HACCP principles. Certificate in Cleaning Operations or GMP training. Working Conditions Shift work may be required, including nights and weekends. Work in controlled environments (cleanrooms, temperature-controlled areas). Frequent exposure to cleaning chemicals (PPE provided). Standing, bending, lifting, and repetitive tasks involved. Performance Indicators Compliance with cleaning schedules and documentation accuracy. Adherence to GMP and safety protocols. Maintaining a contamination-free environment.
