Blackburn Clinic Dental Centre – Blackburn VIC Join the growing team at Blackburn Clinic Dental Centre as a full‑time Dental Assistant. This dynamic role will see you providing essential support to the dental professionals, ensuring a seamless and high‑quality experience for patients. Key responsibilities Assist dentists and dental hygienists during procedures by passing instruments, holding suction devices, and ensuring the work area is clean and organised Sterilise and disinfect instruments and equipment according to strict protocols Greet and welcome patients, help them feel comfortable, and prepare them for their appointments Process and file patient records, x-rays, and other documentation Order and maintain supplies to ensure the clinic is well‑stocked Perform general administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and answering phone calls What we're looking for Previous experience as a Dental Assistant or in a similar healthcare support role Strong communication and interpersonal skills to provide excellent patient care Attention to detail and the ability to follow strict infection control procedures Proficient in using dental software and administrative systems A friendly, positive attitude and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team Relevant qualifications, such as a Certificate III in Dental Assisting, are highly desirable What we offer At Blackburn Clinic Dental Centre, we are committed to providing a supportive and rewarding work environment.
