In-Home Support Worker - Northern Suburbs Adelaide Assured Care Solutions has a passion for making a positive difference to the lives of people with a disability in our community. We are looking for a team of compassionate and reliable Support Workers, both Male & Female in the Northern Suburbs of Adelaide to support a Female client. This role will initially be focused on this client exclusively due to her level of support requirements. However, successful candidates will have the opportunity to pick up additional shifts across other clients as they become available. This client requires supports between 6am and 10pm as well as overnight passive shifts. As such, to be successful in this role you will need to be available between these hours. As a Community Support Worker at Assured Care Solutions, you will play a vital role in providing essential care and support to individuals within their homes. Your primary responsibility will be to assist clients in maintaining their independence and enhancing their overall quality of life. Your main tasks and responsibilities will include: Providing personal care to clients, including assistance with bathing, grooming, and dressing. Supporting clients with mobility challenges and helping them move around their homes safely. Assisting with meal preparation and ensuring that clients receive adequate nutrition. Passive overnight support Monitoring and reporting any changes in the client's condition or needs to the appropriate healthcare professionals. Ensuring that the client's home environment is clean, safe, and comfortable. Administering medication according to prescribed schedules (if certified to do so). This role requires compassion, patience, and excellent communication skills. To be Successful in the Role You Will Be: Reliable, compassionate, and professional Able to work across a rotating roster including overnights Committed to person‑centred, in‑home support Required skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills Empathy and compassion for individuals in need of support Ability to work independently and as part of a team Problem‑solving and decision‑making skills Strong organizational and time‑management abilities Cultural sensitivity and awareness Understanding of confidentiality and privacy laws Basic knowledge of medical conditions and disabilities Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and client needs Required experiences Prior experience in home care or support work is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate Familiarity with providing personal care assistance, meal preparation, light housekeeping, and companionship to clients with various needs Experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds, including seniors, individuals with disabilities, or those receiving palliative care Demonstrated ability to handle challenging behaviours with patience and understanding Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle may be required depending on the role’s location. #J-18808-Ljbffr
