This is a hands‑on role where your technical expertise and analytical mindset will directly contribute to improving data quality, accuracy, and reliability. The Role As a Quality Engineer, you will be responsible for testing and validating critical data and system integrations that underpin the organisation’s data and analytics capabilities. Your other responsibilities will include: Designing and executing test plans, test cases and scripts focused on data validation, system integration and reporting accuracy. Performing hands‑on testing across SQL Server, SAP HANA, Microsoft Fabric, and Power BI environments. Investigating data discrepancies through SQL queries, conducting root‑cause analysis, and collaborating with developers and data engineers to resolve issues. Supporting the data replatforming program by validating data transformations and reconciliations between legacy and new systems. Executing both manual and automated tests across applications, APIs, and data pipelines to ensure reliability and performance. Contributing to continuous improvement of QA practices and supporting the evolution of data quality assurance standards. About You In order to be a successful applicant, you will bring a strong foundation in data testing and a hands‑on approach to quality assurance within complex data environments. You will also have: Proven experience in SQL‑based testing, with the ability to write and troubleshoot complex queries. Experience validating data pipelines, data models, and transformations across multiple environments. Exposure to testing front‑end reporting tools such as Power BI (Web Intelligence experience highly regarded). Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills with a proactive, detail‑oriented mindset. Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in agile teams. An interest in evolving toward test automation in the future, though with a current focus on manual and data‑centric testing.
