The role The Area Visual Merchandiser will support 4 City Beach stores (Charlestown, Tuggerah, Greenhills & Erina) to uphold their visual merchandising standards and create an appealing and shoppable environment for our customers. You will maintain and drive these standards through ongoing development and training of City Beach team members to ensure that the company visual merchandising strategy is executed across all retail stores. This is a maternity leave contract, ending November 2026. What you’ll be doing Support and advise stores on all aspects of visual merchandising, ensuring consistency and visual excellence across the network. Train and develop in-store staff to implement and maintain VM standards and promotional setups. Coordinate and execute promotional events and installations within set timeframes and to company standards. Drive compliance with VM standards to achieve high store presentation and an engaging shopping environment. Provide leadership, feedback, and support to store teams to ensure consistency in VM practices. Identify opportunities to improve VM and promotional activity, recommending and implementing strategies to enhance efficiency and effectiveness. Build strong working relationships with Regional/Area Managers and retail teams through regular visits and feedback. Oversee compliance with VM standards across your store network, reporting on task delivery, performance, and key success indicators. Advocate for projects and initiatives, supporting the VM team to ensure stores understand and deliver on the vision and objectives. Be available to travel across Australia to coach, support and develop your team. What you’ll need 3 – 5+ years’ experience in an in‑store Visual Merchandiser role. Experience in a fast‑paced and high‑volume retail environment will be highly regarded. Working knowledge and understanding of visual merchandising trends and best practices. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to problem solve. A valid driver’s licence is essential, with the ability to travel interstate as required.
