No Location: Bedford Park / Kaurna Country /Australia Role Summary The Associate Lecturer or Lecturer in Applied Marine Ecology will contribute to excellence in teaching and research within the College of Science and Engineering. You will contribute to the development of engaging teaching materials, deliver lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions across undergraduate and postgraduate programs, and support students’ academic success. Your research will focus on applied marine ecology and complement existing areas of research. You will contribute to the College’s strengths through publications, collaborations, and engagement with industry and community partners. In this position you will: Deliver high-quality teaching in marine and environmental science through innovative, multi-mode approaches. Undertake and contribute to ethical, high-impact research and evaluation aligned with College priorities. Build relationships with industry, government, and community stakeholders to enhance teaching and research outcomes. This position is open to interstate candidates and relocation support is available. About You You are an emerging or established academic with a passion for teaching and research in applied marine ecology. You are committed to fostering student engagement, supporting academic success, and contributing positively to a collegial academic community. Qualifications and Experience A minimum of four years of tertiary study or equivalent qualifications and experience in applied marine ecology or related area (Level A) or completion of a PhD (or equivalent qualification) in applied marine ecology or a closely related field (Level B). Demonstrated capability or experience in delivering high-quality teaching or mentoring in marine or environmental sciences. Evidence of research and/or evaluation activity in applied marine ecology, including publications or collaboration for career stage. Experience in supervision of honors and HDR students and demonstrated experience in accreditation activities (Desirable for Level B).
