Bear Cottage Children's Hospice is situated in MANLY and is part of the Sydney Children's Hospital Network. We are seeking undergraduate nursing students in their fourth semester to work alongside our experienced Registered Nurses and Allied Health team to provide care to the children and their siblings who stay at Bear Cottage. Experience working with babies and children of all ages and flexibility to work a range of shifts is desired. The successful applicant will be supported by the Clinical Nurse Educator and strong multi-disciplinary team but will need to have initiative and strong communication skills. What You’ll Be Doing The undergraduate Assistant in Nursing provides safe, compassionate, person-centred care to patients and families of the Sydney Children's Hospital Network, under the direct supervision of an Enrolled Nurse or a Registered Nurse or Registered Midwife. The Assistant in Nursing acts as a role model by demonstrating behaviours and interacting with patients, their families and employees to promote a culture and standards that reflect the NSW Health CORE values of Collaboration, Openness, Respect and Empowerment. About You Has documented evidence of undergraduate Bachelor of Nursing (3rd year) or Masters (2nd year) which would lead to Registration with the National Registration Board (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse. Demonstrates the ability to be an effective team member and relevant experience as an Assistant in Nursing.
