About the role As a Support Worker with Activ you will be making a real impact in the lives of others by helping people with disabilities through accommodation and community engagement. Join us in making a positive difference in the lives of those with disabilities Shift details We currently have a permanent overnight sleep shift vacancy in Australind. With 7 shifts a fortnight including a weekend hours range from the earliest start of 3pm to the latest finish of 9am (9 hours worked broken by an onsite 8-hour sleep period). Roster Please click to view the roster below : Roster Pattern 62 HR FN - Overnight Please note that for the 8 hour unpaid sleep period between 10pm-6am you remain at the home and sleep in your own private room. Typical day Supporting person-centred plans that identify a customers life goals and working to achieve them Joining customers in recreational activities such as swimming dancing bingo horseback riding going to the gym bowling and more Supporting customers in daily living skills such as meal preparation housekeeping showering and toileting medication administration and attending appointments Ensuring positive behaviour support plans are followed; and Administration duties and mandatory daily reports. Ideal candidate Cert III in Individual Support (CHC33015 or CHC33021) essential Previous experience in supporting customers with mental health concerns and manual handling Live locally in the Bunbury region and be able to work the full roster Have willingness to support customers of any gender by assisting with personal care (showering toileting) and domestic duties (meal preparation housekeeping) Well-developed interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective working relationships. Passion for providing service and assistance and helping others live their best lives. Previous experience or willingness to train in manual handling and medication administration. Proven administration and computer literacy skills. A valid drivers licence and a willingness to use your private vehicle (with rebates available).
