Qualifications & Experience 2+ years experience in the disability sector First Aid or CPR certificate NDIS Screening Check ID Police Check Cert III/IV in a relevant field is advantageous Hand hygiene certificate Valid driver's licence & car insurance VicRoads Driver History Report NDIS orientation module WWCC (required for some staff who work with children) Tasks & Responsibilities Provide personalised support to NDIS participants based on their individual support plans. Create a safe, comfortable, and positive environment for participants. Assist participants with personal care tasks with dignity and respect. Support participants to engage in a range of activities, both at home and in the community. Follow individual support plans and provide direct care as required. Monitor and report any concerns regarding the safety and wellbeing of participants to the Manager. Document support provided accurately and in a timely manner, including client notes and communication books. Work collaboratively with families, carers, case managers, and other professionals. Contribute to a positive team environment through open communication and participation in meetings. Adhere to all Santi Support Services' policies and procedures. About You Have 2+ years experience in the disability sector and are confident supporting clients with complex behaviours. Genuinely passionate about making a positive difference in people's lives. Believe in empowering individuals to live as independently as possible and approach your work with kindness, respect, and a strong sense of dignity. Organised, responsible, and able to follow instructions and care plans effectively. Experienced and comfortable providing personal care with sensitivity and respect. Open to learning new skills and approaches and committed to providing person‑centred support that respects individual choices. Proven experience supporting clients with complex needs and challenging behaviours. Experience working with children and young people. A passion for promoting an active and engaging lifestyle. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills. A proactive, solutions‑focused approach. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong understanding of NDIS principles and practices. Flexibility to work varied shifts, including mornings, afternoons/evenings, and weekends. Ability to follow behaviour support plans. Compassionate, patient and understanding. Must be able to speak clear English. Minimum 2 years of experience in the disability sector. Current Working with Children Check (WWCC). Current First Aid and CPR certification. NDIS Worker Screening Check. Current Police Check. Flu and COVID‑19 vaccinations. The Role Provide personalised support to a young client with complex needs and high behaviours, ensuring their safety and well‑being. Engage the client in active and recreational activities, including sports and community outings. Assist with personal care, meal preparation, and household tasks. Support the client in achieving their individual goals and fostering independence. Build and maintain positive, supportive relationships with the client and their family. Accurately document client progress and maintain clear communication with the team. Implement behaviour support plans and strategies effectively. This crucial role will be responsible for the efficient and effective scheduling of support staff across our Supported Independent Living (SIL) houses and community‑based participants. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with strong administrative skills and a keen eye for detail to make a real difference in the lives of people with disabilities. About You Highly organised and detail‑oriented with excellent time management skills. Strong problem‑solving abilities and can think proactively to anticipate and resolve scheduling conflicts. Adroit at using scheduling software and maintaining accurate records. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Proven experience in a rostering or coordination role, ideally within the NDIS or a similar care sector. Comfortable working independently and taking initiative. Qualifications & Experience Certificate or Diploma in Business Administration, Health Administration, or a related field is advantageous but not necessary. Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. Good computer skills with proven admin experience. Proven experience in rostering, preferably within the disability, aged care, or healthcare sectors is advantageous but not necessary. Proficiency in using rostering software and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) is advantageous but not necessary. Tasks & Responsibilities Develop and maintain efficient and effective staff rosters for SIL houses and community‑based participants. Coordinate staff availability, leave requests, and shift changes to ensure adequate coverage. Utilise rostering software to create, adjust, and communicate schedules to support staff. Maintain accurate and up‑to‑date records of staff schedules, attendance, and any related information. Assist with general administrative tasks such as photocopying, filing, and data entry.
