This Opportunity We have an opportunity for a Principal Environmental Officer (Compliance), within the Environmental Services and Regulation (ESR) division of the Department of the Environment, Tourism, Science and Innovation. This position will work closely with the Team Leader to respond to incidents and complaints, visit high-risk sites to check on businesses environmental performance and help license holders understand their environmental obligations. Proven ability to communicate with influence, to : Motivate, develop, and engage staff lead negotiations to resolve complex matters and manage stakeholders Understanding of (or the ability to rapidly acquire), contemporary environmental and regulatory legislation, trends, drivers, and approaches.
